The parent Address step owns a 3-column grid with row-gap 16 and column-gap 8 (Address/index.module.pcss); the country components only claim spans. US: Street 2, then Address 2, City, State and Zip each taking one cell in flow. CA: Street Address 3, Apartment / Unit / Suite 2, City 1, Province / Territory 2, Postal Code 1. Employer Phone spans 3 in both. So the two countries are not a label swap — they are different layouts, and CA's labels are longer ("Province / Territory", "Postal Code").
Both countries share a Google Places dropdown, declared identically in each country's stylesheet. Its values sit outside the token set: 8px radius (not --r-7), a --gray-4 border (not --gray-5), a one-off 0 8px 20px rgb(19 31 57 / 12%) shadow, and literal 14px / 12px text rather than body3 / body6. Hover, keyboard-active and focus-visible all resolve to --blue-3. A tokenisation candidate, not a twin deviation. The status line reads "Searching addresses..." with three literal dots.
Its whole stylesheet is one rule — pointer-events: none — because two of its three states use a Radio as a display surface, not a control. (1) A valid verified address gives a RadioGroup of "USPS Verified" (or "Google Verified") marked recommended against "Original". (2) Google's fix or fix_subpremise decision shows the dead Radio plus a secondary "Fix address" and a primary "Continue with entered address". (3) No valid verified address shows the dead Radio and a single secondary "Re-enter address". While validating, a ScreenLoader replaces the content and the primary button shows its loading state. The provider name in the copy follows shouldUseGoogleValidation.
The Country select renders only when supportedCountries.length > 1, so most dealers never show it. Employer Phone appears only under withPhone, and is required only under requirePhone. Changing country always resets state to empty and clears the form errors. AddressVerification is reached only when the address store sets addressNeedsVerification; continuing with the entered address clears that flag.
