PRESCRIPTIVE — the Quick-Message Sheet (CPO ruling, 2026-09-02): from a customer list, a lead list, or a task list, Send Message opens the conversation IN PLACE — in the details pane — instead of navigating away. Every part is a verbatim instance: the header is the Customer Details pane's .mh bar (title → the customer name, the promoted .lk View Customer, the bare shared .x); the tab band is the activity-feed filter strip (.sb-tabbar--secondary at the strip's 8/16 metrics); Messages = the activity feed defaulting to the Messages filter with the canonical Stage C composer docked (Text active, Insert + tools left, the single blue send right, DAISI pill in .cp-ai); Summary = the Customer Details section list in the promoted .panel-scroll — Summary card, Recent Communications (four-line strip) + Automations, Team, Suggested Next Action + Action DAISI, Vehicle of Interest — nothing redrawn. Behind it, the real .sb-cust--wide Customers list. Leads and Tasks open the identical sheet.
2 · Mobile — full-screen covering sheet (opened from a Tasks list "Text" quick action)

On mobile the sheet follows the covering-sheet convention (.sb-cvrsheet — full-screen modal, never a pushed pane): the same .sb-qsheet content — the .mh header, the tab band, feed + the docked canonical composer (its own .sb-composer--compact collapse applies at 375px). Shown opened from the Tasks list Text quick action; the composer opens on the trigger's channel per the composer-type law.

A customer with no message history renders the quiet .sb-empty state above the composer — the sheet is still the fastest path to the first outreach.
Opening triggers. Customers list: the paper-plane Send Message quick action on the row (data-dest: opens the Quick-Message sheet in the details pane — no navigation). Leads board/table: the paper-plane .qa in the deal-card footer — identical sheet, identical anatomy. Tasks: the contextual quick action (Text / Email) opens the sheet with the composer focused on that channel. In every case the originating list stays where it was — scroll position, filters, and selection are untouched (the sacred-scroll law); the X or a click back in the list closes the sheet. Messages-first ruling. The sheet's feed defaults to the Messages filter — a rep opening a quick sheet wants the back-and-forth, not deal-update noise. This is a sheet-local default only: the customer Activity tab's global filter default (All) is unchanged. OPEN QUESTION for the CPO: whether the global activity default should also become Messages, or stay All.
